Hill’s yard is the poorest neighborhood in Washington State according to Wikipedia, which is now as reliable as Encyclopedia Britannica

Do not be alarmed if the people from the neighborhood of Hillyard have sharp edges. They grew-up out of piles of rust.

The conversation occurring in Spokane is a discussion concerning the remaining piles of rust. Hillyard is poor, so it was decided to pave over most of the unsightly poverty. The remaining poverty will be annoyed by thundering automobiles instead of trains. When you move on, it is best to bury your past several feet below concrete.

If you visit Hillyard, pretend you are Allen Ginsburg taking a stroll with Jack Kerouac. Praise every sunflower you see growing out of piles of junk; they are a rare species.

“You were never no locomotive, Sunflower, you were a sunflower!
and you Locomotive, you are a locomotive, forget me not!” ~ Allen Ginsberg
